Brief School History

1877 - Mr W Aitken donated an acre of land on the present site for a school to be built.

1878 - The first building was erected on the present site.

1879 - School opened on the present site with Mr S.F. Mayhew as a teacher.

1925 - Northcote School became a Junior High School.

1931 - Northcote District School was established catering for Forms 1 to 7.

1947 - Northcote District High School became Northcote College.
